My friend KC introduced me to her collection of quarters. She told me that each state had different designs for the quarters. Somehow till she pointed that out, I had never noticed that.
We needed quarters to use the washer dryer in my new apartment, and thus started my own collection. I frequently had to dig into my collection, if I was short of quarters and had started noticing which quarters are usually found aplenty, and which are somewhat rare.
All the quarters picturize something unique about the states. In days without internet, this could have been a great idea to promote tourism.
As I now sit down to form an inventory, I notice that all the quarters have " E.pluribus unum" inscribed on them.
