There is this scary-looking man that I see in the bus. His scalp has turned orange, as if by some chemical poisoning or daily usage of iodine antiseptic swabs. He looks lost in his own world.
I was in the college campus when I saw him sorting trash from the trashcan marked landfill. He had a plastic bag with him containing leftover food that he collected from the trashcan. Seeing poverty shakes you up, but seeing it in a country which otherwise flaunts opulence shakes you further.
Krishna Lunch has started serving food in steel plates. Which means that the students have to throw their leftovers elsewhere before they return the steel plates for washing. Contacted Krishna Lunch volunteers if they can have a separate plastic container to collect food. At least the man I saw wont have to pick food off trashcans. :(
